As the beginning of the celebrations marking the 10th
Anniversary of the election of the revolutionary leader Hugo
Chávez Frias, on December 6th, 1998, as President
of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the photographic
exhibition "Between Peoples," by the Venezuelan artist
Nicolas Pineda, will be inaugurated in the city of Baalbeck.
The
exhibition includes photographs from Venezuela and Lebanon,
especially in the areas that were most affected by the
Israeli attacks against Lebanon in Summer 2006, and they
were taken
in collaboration with the Embassy of the Bolivarian Republic
of Venezuela in Lebanon as a way of showing the common
points between the two countries and continuing to tighten
the bonds of friendship “Between Peoples".
Nicolás
Pineda offers us through 30 photographs, the opportunity of
connection, discovery, integration and joint struggle
between the peoples of Lebanon and Venezuela, and let us see
that both countries recognize each other in their history,
spiritual force, diversity, tolerance and values of peace
and justice.
The
presentation of “Between Peoples” in Baalbeck, that counts
on the kind collaboration of the Municipality of that city,
will be inaugurated on December 4th at 11:00
a.m. in DARI Center, in the presence of the Ambassador
of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela in Lebanon, H.E.
Mrs. Zoed Karam D., and will remain open to the public until
December 20th, everyday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except
on Sundays and Mondays.
